"Nearly a year has passed without a peep from tropical punk quintet Flamingo Shadow, but last week, the group broke its silence. The group, which features David Matysiak on voice, guitar, and bass, Devin Brown on drums, Madeline Adams on voice and percussion, Katie Robertson on keys, percussion, and voice, and new member Mason Brown (of Brainworlds and Hollow Stars) on guitar, bass, and electronics, teamed up with Adult Swim animator Zach White to produce a video for the titular track of 2015’s Vibe Control EP.

The world of Flamingo Shadow turns the typical surf rock aesthetic on its head, and the video for "Vibe Control" is no exception. White spices up the easy-going beach scene that accompanies this slower number with numerous little curve-balls, including dancing fleas and a snapchatting seal. The song is a solid introduction to Flamingo Shadow’s signature quirk and surrealism, and a nice refresher for anyone who might have forgotten during the band’s hiatus.
